The Street Dogs of Bengaluru

Introduction:

Coming from the desert climate in Las Vegas, Nevada, I see Bengaluru as a place of pure green. It isn't hard at all to find thick trees and grass around the city. This is especially true of Christ University, the school I go to. Walking through the center of campus, I'm surrounded by a symphony of green. Many beautiful natural sights like these can be found all over India.

In addition to the greenery, I was immediately lured by the sight of cows in India. When they walk through the city streets it's like a special event. They're walking on an invisible red carpet layed out just for them. It must be the way they sort of amble through. People give a ton of respect to cows!

But today, I mainly want to talk about street dogs. I have my own dog back home, so it could be that I'm just missing my little friend. Either way I think there's a lot to learn from these tenacious creatures. They're surviving in some pretty harsh environments, so it's incredible to observe them.

What does this creature or plant look like?:

Street dogs are the mangy mutts that live right outside our homes. Most street dogs seem pretty slender and agile. They aren't too fat or skinny. They tend to have really scabious fur and a relaxed demeanor. They tend to be a bit dirty, too. I do kind of feel a little gross every time I pet them, but I do anyway.
