All Roads Lead to New York City

When I first moved to NYC I was nervous learning to navigate the transit system, but after living here for over two years I can say that I'm very confident finding my way around and that it's a good way to spend time reading a book or listening to music.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Every time I get on a train I feel connected to New York City. In the moring I'm surrounded by people commuting to work like myself. They walk fast and drink their coffee or orange juice to-go. In the evening I'm surrounded by people heading home to their families or out to meet up with friends. On the weekends I'm surrounded by tourists or locals out to enjoy a day sight seeing in the city or visiting their favourite book store or cafe. All these people make up New York City and they all take public transit. Transportation is just a snapshot of this culture and I'm so glad to be a part of it!
