The weather in Singapore was wonderful! It was hotter than it has been in Taipei, which was surprising at first, but I adjusted pretty quickly. When I first arrived in Taiwan in August, it was so hot! The humidity in places like Taipei or Singapore makes any heat feel even hotter. I enjoyed being able to wear long flowy skirts and tank tops without getting cold in Singapore!
The most exciting animal sightings I had this week were the wild macaque monkeys. Singapore is a very busy and urban city, so there is not much wildlife to see, but the monkeys are very brave and will come closer to people than most wildlife. You have to be very careful in areas where monkeys frequent because they can be thieves! I saw one take a juice bottle out of someone's backpack which they weren't keeping an eye on. To be safe from the monkey thieves, you should keep all of your belongings inside a pocket that can be closed tight with a zipper. Overall, seeing the monkeys was fun and entertaining! They are very cute and kind of silly.
