Marvelous Mikki

Introduction:

Mikki and I met at a meet and greet hosted by our university in Khon Kaen. Through his answers to these questions, we can learn a little bit more about what it's like to live and grow up in Thailand.

What is your full name?:

My name is Saksorn Srisak. My grandmother gave the nickname Mikki when I was younger, so that's what I go by.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I live in Muang, which is a city in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. Muang in Thai means "city," so I just live in the city. My house has one bedroom, a living room, two bathrooms and a garden that my family likes to plant vegetables in, such as morning glory, chili pepper and basil.

What is your family like?:

My family includes my grandmother, my aunts, my uncles, my mom and me. We live separately. My mom and I live in a house that is not near my grandmother's house, and one of my aunts lives in Bangkok, Thailand. My family and I mainly keep to ourselves. We don't do much and are pretty quiet.

How do you get around?:

When I am at the university, I usually ride my bike. Sometimes, I ride in my friend's car. If I go back to my hometown, I take the bus to go to the market, the mall and the library.
