Hey, Shebabs (That's how you say "guys" in Arabic)!
I have a very special interview with two Moroccan students, Hoda and Nadir, to share with you this week! They were both so excited to share their lives with you all.
Hoda Zeghari and Nadir Fassi
Hoda: My house has a very traditional Moroccan style, reflecting my country's rich culture and heritage.
Nadir: I live in Morocco/Meknes, so my house is an apartment with the traditional Moroccan style sedari.
Note from Jada: Most Moroccan houses have "sedari" couches. The couch is a long, low bench that goes around the room. It is covered in soft cushions and colorful fabrics with pretty patterns. Unlike regular couches, sedari are built into the walls and sit close to the floor, making it easy for people to sit cross-legged or even lie down. They are also special because they can turn into a bed if someone wants to sleep there. Families and friends gather around these couches to talk, drink tea, and spend time together.
