Life in Cameroon

My favorite food is mango fruit, fresh off the tree. There are many mango trees in the city and it is a free snack. My friends and I keep track of where the ripe fruit is every week.

We speak French and English but my English is not very strong. We say bonjour in French and if it is a friend you can say salut.

There are many names and most people have four names and a nickname. There are actually not many common names because there is so much diversity. My friends' names are Romeo, Garcia, Oliva, Astrid and Karima.

My favorite subject is biology and I want to become a doctor when I grow up. I really don't like English class and it is very difficult for me to learn the language.

We do not have much homework and most of our assignments are at school. Not everyone has electricity at home or internet access. Many of us also have to take care of our little brothers or sisters when we get home.

I like to hang out with my friends and talk about what is going on with everyone. If we can get a soccer ball, we will play football. It is my favorite sport and the Cameroonian team is my favorite team.

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Will Smith is my favorite celebrity. I like all his movies, especially Bad Boys.
