A boda boda is the name of a motorcycle taxi. Most car taxis stay on the main roads. When you have to go on a back road or only a short distance many people prefer boda bodas to get around. It has been nice not having to drive! I can afford to pay for public transportation anywhere I go which is not something I always have availble back home.
The name boda boda comes from when Uganda first became a country. The motorcycles would go “border to border” which inspired the name boda boda.
