The weather was crazy this week as I wrapped up my final days at the orientation site and moved about a 45-minute drive away to my new home. On departure day, it actually snowed! Three days later, the weather hit a high of 60 degrees Fahrenheit at my placement.
I have seen various birds on my walks outside. The ones I was able to identify are the magpie and the little egret.
It has been so interesting to see the mountains around the city as winter starts to fade. There's a mix of green and bare trees, but the warmer sunlight makes everything feel as if it's waking up for spring.
My school has two stray cats that I've seen prancing around the main field during lunch!
