Savanna Elephants at Mole National Park

The elephants drink and swim in watering holes around the park to stay cool. They eat leaves, grasses and even tree bark to survive. When they are trying to hide from potential threats, the thick trees are very helpful too.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Poachers are people who hunt animals to sell various parts of their bodies for high prices. Elephant tusks are very expensive and have long been used to create objects such as ivory jewelry and deocrative items for homes. In addition, their meat is used to cook rare foods. Both practices are illegal, but unfortunately they are still difficult to prevent.
