This week I traveled to Brussels, Belgium for a study tour. Brussels is about 130 miles from Amsterdam. On this trip, we learned more about the European Union, which is similar to how the United States works, but for many European countries.
To get to Amsterdam, I flew from New York to Europe, traveling over 3,600 miles.
I mostly got around Amsterdam by walking, biking and taking trams and trains. Amsterdam is famous for bicycles, and bikes are everywhere! I also took a train to Brussels, which was fast and very easy.
I visited the European Parliament in Brussels. It was amazing to see where representatives from across Europe come together to make decisions that affect millions of people!
