This week in Amsterdam, the weather was cool, windy and rainy. There were a few sunny moments, but most days were cloudy. It rained on and off throughout the week, which is very common in the Netherlands.
I saw lots of birds, especially ducks and swans swimming in the canals. I also saw plenty of dogs walking around the city.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was all the flowers starting to bloom after some recent sunny weather. Tiny tulips popping up in the parks and small houseplants brightening windows made the city feel alive and colorful.
One of the coolest things about Amsterdam is how bikes outnumber people! Everywhere you look, cyclists ride along canals, across bridges and through parks. Seeing so many bikes instead of cars makes the city feel cleaner, quieter and greener.
