The Netherlands is one of the most densely populated countries in Europe, where space is often limited due to the daily hustle and bustle of city life. Yet, in the middle of Amsterdam, there are special places like Vondelpark. Vondelpark offers a space where nature and city life exist side by side. Unlike a natural tropical environment that develops on its own, Vondelpark is carefully designed and maintained. As urban life becomes faster and more crowded, spaces like Vondelpark become essential for balance.
Vondelpark is a big green park with tall trees, open grass, small ponds and long walking and biking paths. Some areas are quiet with lots of shade, while others are open and sunny where people sit and relax. It feels like nature, even though it is in the middle of the city.
When I was in the park, I felt calm and relaxed. It was nice to take a break from the busy city and be around nature. Seeing people enjoying the park made it feel like a welcoming and peaceful space. Parks are very important in a big city like Amsterdam because they actively support life in the city. The large number of trees helps improve air quality and reduce noise.
