Let's Eat!

Introduction:

If there is a must-try food in Taiwan, it is the beef noodle soup! It is prepared with small differences around Taiwan, but all methods are delicious and special in their own way!

What food did I try?:

The food I tried is Taiwan's famous beef noodle soup! After trying it for the first time, it became a quick favorite! I tried it for the first time in Taitung City, but I have found my favorite right here in my small town of Guanshan.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

The first time I tried beef noodle soup, I found it delicious. My favorite part about it is that in the winter, it plays a similar role to chicken noodle soup in the United States. This tasty, hot bowl of soup warms you up on a cold day.

How is the food prepared?:

My favorite beef noodle soup is prepared with a strong beef broth with added secret spices. One of the best parts about this dish is the hand-cut noodles that are prepared every time. It is pretty standard across Taiwan to add anywhere from four to eight pieces of thick cut beef into the soup along with some bok choy (a leafy green vegetable).

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

This food is definitely connected to the local environment, not in the agricultural sense, but in terms of the community environment.
