My Conversation With Diego

Introduction:

Italian life has many similarities and differences in our culture. The person that I talked to is very friendly and kind. He and his wife run a tabacchi store across the street from my school. A tabacchi store is basically a local convenience store. Here they have a little bit of everything you may need including school supplies, personal care items like lotion or toothpaste, fresh-made sandwiches and many different snacks.

What is your full name?:

Diego Lago

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

Diego and his family live in the area of Bassano del Grappa, Italy. This is about 30 minutes by car from the school and his business. His family lives in a villa with a really large garden. In Europe, a villa is a type of house. This is normally a larger home that is more elegant or fancy.

What is your family like?:

Diego has a wife and two sons. His wife works with him at the business. He has one son who lives in the United States. His other son goes to school at the same place where I go to school. He is not in college, but he goes to school on the same campus. Do you remember how earlier I said that I share my school with Kindergarten? Well, I also share it with other grade levels as well. My school has many buildings for different grade levels.
