It's Called a Guagua

The only problem is that the bus schedule is very...flexible. Online, it may say that the next guagua will arrive in five minutes. That means it could have already passed. It may indeed arrive in five minutes (lucky you!). It might come in another 15 minutes. Maybe, today that bus isn't running at all! This makes it very hard to plan on taking the bus because the timing and routes are so uncertain. I have learned to leave early with a lot of time for any bus mistakes!

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

A lot of people walk to do their shopping here. Not only is that healthier and better for the environment, but it also corresponds to the Spanish culture. It is very common to take a walk outside to talk with friends. Spaniards are very social and deliberate in enjoying small moments together. They like taking their time to walk to their favorite markets and maybe bump into one of their friends on the way.
