Sausage, Scampi and Scones

Introduction:

Before coming to Ireland I did not know what kinds of foods I would be eating here. I was in for a great surprise as there are so many wonderful food options available in the city and on my campus. While my campus does not have a dining hall like at my home university, there are tons of eateries and you can easily get your groceries delivered to your doorstep. Let's take a journey into Dublin... through food!

What food did I try?:

Breakfast: I had traditional Irish breakfast at a small but very charming cafe this week. A traditional Irish breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, Irish sausage, toast and a side of baked beans. I had a vanilla cappuccino as well, and what is so cool about this cafe is that they draw edible art on all their hot beverages! Daily, however, for breakfast, I just make myself a bowl of cereal with oat milk, or a bagel with peanut butter. Sometimes I will also grab a cappuccino and a scone from a cafe.

Lunch: In the beginning, I would go out to one of the eateries on campus for lunch with my friends. These places include a Chipotle-type food place where you can make a bowl with your choice of meat, rice, cheese, and different condiments and vegetables, Subway, a salad shop, and lots of sandwich shops and cafes. Recently though I have been either eating leftovers or making my hot sandwiches for lunch since it is cheaper.
