What main languages are spoken here?:

The main language spoken is Japanese. All of my classes are taught in Japanese as well. Written Japanese looks like this: これは日本語です.

What type of money is used here?:

The money used here is called yen. 100 yen is almost the same as one U.S. dollar. There are one, five, 10, 50, 100 and 500 yen coins. The paper money starts at 1,000 yen, or about 10 dollars.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water can cost anywhere from 88 yen to 140 yen, or from about $.88 to a $1.80. Depending on where you buy it, even the best water can be priced around 100 yen.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal from this week was a homecooked dinner. I ate thin meat strips with asparagus and bean sprouts, all cooked together with some rice and spicy sauce. It was so yummy after a long day of classes and studying.

What music did I listen to this week?:

This week I listened to some American music like P!nk, Imagine Dragons, Queen and even some classical violin. I also listened to some of my favorite K-Pop groups and some instrumental music.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity this week was going to an all-you-can-eat sweets shop where small cake bites were circling the room on a large conveyor belt. I ate 19 pieces!
