Meet My Friend Kate!

Introduction:

I talked to a Kiwi friend Kate about her life as a 9 year old in New Zealand. She was really happy to answer all of my questions, and she is excited tell you about her life!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:
  • Breakfast: 2x Weetbix and milk (with either sugar, yogurt or canned plums)
  • Lunch: Usually a salami and cheese sandwich and fruit
  • Dinner: Usuallly Asian fusian inspired food (my family often make curry or noodle type dishes such as stir fries).
  • Another more traditional meal is a roast chicken or lamb dinner, or sausages and mash (U.K-inspired food is common in New Zealand)
What is your house like?:

I live in a bungalow that is close to 100 years old. It has stained glass windows, and my bedroom door has a beautiful rose in the middle of its glass pane. I have posters of my favourite celebrities in my room. I also have my Sony C.D. player to listen and dance to my favorite music after school.

What chores do you have at home?:

I have to do dishes, keep my room clean, help make dinners and walk the dog. I often will help mum and dad do gardening on a Sunday.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My dad works for Air New Zealand and my mum Works for DHL.  They are both in management positions.
