What Is It Like to Be a 3rd Grader in Argentina? Interviewing Magali!

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

At school, I study math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. We also have art, music, and physical education. In social studies, we learn about Argentina and other places in the world. In science, we learn about animals, plants, and how things work.

My favorite subject is reading because I like reading stories in class like my mom. My mom is a writer, so she reads and writes a lot at home. I think stories are interesting and fun, and I like using my imagination. I also like art because I enjoy drawing and being creative.

What is your homework like?:

My homework is usually reading, writing or math. Sometimes I have to read a story and answer questions about it. Other times I practice spelling or write a few sentences. For math, I solve problems with numbers like adding, subtracting or learning multiplication.

Sometimes I have small projects where I draw a picture or write about a topic we are learning in class. My homework is not too long, but I have to do it almost every day. I usually do my homework at the table at home after I have a snack. My parents help me if I do not understand something.

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

After class, I like to go to the park near my house. There is a small plaza where many kids play after school. I sometimes play on the swings or run around with my friends.
