I began an internship with different communities to use dialogue, or guided conversations about specific topics, and experiential learning, games and activities, to transform conflict into an opportunity. I studied the Bosnian language, volunteered at a local museum recording historical artifacts, and interned with local non-profits focused on building trauma-safe classrooms.
I applied for and was accepted into the U.S. Fulbright Program to study peace, development, and security in Serbia — where I am writing to you from! Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina used to be part of the same country, Yugoslavia, so the languages and cultures are similar and familiar to me. Currently, I live in Belgrade, Serbia’s capital, and will begin a Master's degree in a couple of weeks. I don’t know what to expect from this next year abroad, but I am so excited to share it with all of you! Vidimo se! See you!
