Besides hiking, I have really enjoyed talking to the Slovak students that I teach. What I found most fun this week was an activity where we compared U.S. and Slovak holidays and traditions. We found that there are many big differences. Maybe, I will get to share some of those differences soon!
The only thing I read over this busy week was the beginning of my Slovak language textbook! The teachers at my school gave me this textbook to learn and practice my Slovak over the next few months. It starts with basic phrases they use every day!
This week I went for a run a few times around my town, and I went on a few hikes over the weekend. I am trying to get as much outdoor time as I can before it gets too cold, but I am super excited to start skiing once the resorts open!
I had my first haircut in Slovakia this week! One of my students is a barber and was happy to cut my hair for me. I think he did a pretty great job!
