Mrs. Wolf's class,
We have reached the end of our journey together in Slovakia! Together, over the past few months, we learned about traditions, nature, daily life and transportation in Slovakia. We also got to explore other countries in Europe, such as Spain and the United Kingdom.
It is only the fourth month of my ten month journey in Slovakia, but I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. It feels like yesterday that I was landing at the airport and opening the door to my apartment in Námestovo. Even though I have so much time left here to explore, I have learned so much about myself and other cultures. I have also loved so many of my experiences, whether I was potato picking on a random afternoon, hiking the Tatra mountains with friends or teaching English to students like you!
I know many of you shared that you would love to travel one day, and maybe even to Slovakia. The good news is, you can! One day, when you are older, you will be given so many opportunities to explore the world, and I suggest taking those chances to see the unknown. There are so many ways to do this. It could be through study abroad, if you go to college, or doing a program through Fulbright, like I am, where you can explore new places after college.
