Traveling to Paris

Introduction:

On Wednesday, January 15, I flew to New York, NY, where I spent one night with a friend. The next night, I took a plane that left the U.S. around midnight, and I arrived at 12:50 a.m. the next day in Paris! The flight was around six and a half hours, but I was able to sleep for most of it.

How do people get around?:

People take the Metro, the bus or walk in Paris. Everything is relatively close to each other, and lots and lots of people are constantly bustling around in the streets.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

I have been walking to explore a lot in Paris, and I absolutely love it. There is so much to see when I walk around, and I am discovering a lot by doing this. Even if reaching an area to explore is a 30-minute walk away (like my school is), I prefer to walk.

I took the Metro once so far, and there were so many people that it was hard to even get on the underground car. Plus, everything is in French so it makes it that much harder. I'm trying to avoid taking the Metro if I can. As long as it is a safe, not too far walk, I think that I will be walking rather than taking public transportation for now.
