Journal Entry:

I'm reaching the end of my first month in Paris, but it is also my last journal entry.

So far, I've had the opportunity to explore so many things in Paris, try amazing foods and meet new and wonderful people. I've walked miles and miles throughout the city, taking the Metro to new places and seen things that I had never imagined I would have the chance to see. This past month has truly been amazing.

Learning so much about the differences between life in France and the way we live back home has been eye-opening and has taught me to appreciate other cultures and feel more open to learning about new things. I have been able to practice my French-speaking with real Parisians, and I hope that when I get back to the U.S., I will be fluent enough to finally be able to say that I know French almost as well as I know English.

I've tried some amazing French food, including last night when I had escargot (French snails) which has been one of my favorite dishes so far. And, because of the French love for farmer's markets, the abundance of fresh fruits and veggies has inspired me to cook more. I've had the opportunity to cook many meals with my new friends while we all get to know each other.
