The farthest I traveled this week was 101 miles on the trip to Edinburgh Zoo!
I have been able to take day trips by train to Glasgow (76 miles away) and Windermere (85 miles away).
The school arranged a coach bus for our trip to the zoo. My friends and I traveled to Caerlaverock Castle via public bus.
Some friends I visited Caerlaverock Castle, which is only a 40 minute bus journey from the Dumfries town center. The castle was first built in the 13th century. Walking amongst the ruins was like stepping back in time! The castle is also surrounded by a lovely nature reserve and peaceful forests.
One day on my walk from the University of Glasgow campus, I encountered the Chrichton Rock Garden, a lovely oasis where I could find a moment of peace and quiet. I will definitely be stopping by whenever I can.
