The most interesting place I visited this week was the city of Cajamarca. Cajamarca is one of the oldest cities in Peru and was one of the first Spanish colonial cities in the country. In 1532, the Incan emperor Atahualpa was captured here by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, which became a major turning point in Peru’s history.
I’ll be here all week for training, and I’m really excited to explore the city and learn even more about its history and culture while I’m here.
After training, I’m really looking forward to visiting a new beach town called Pacasmayo. After a long week of learning and working, it will be so nice to relax and celebrate with my friends and coworkers. Spending time at the beach feels like the perfect way to end a busy week.
