All around Taiwan! It was a total of just over 600 miles, which I completed in nine days. I did take a brief break for Lunar New Year in Changhua though, so it was actually only seven days on the road.
With the completion of my huandao, I have now visited every county on the main island of Taiwan. There are still island counties that I want to visit though -- they are Kinmen, Penghu and Matsu. I hope I am able to visit them later. Kinmen and Matsu are known to be quite cold in the winter though, so I think it would be best to wait until spring.
On my scooter! My scooter’s name is Barbie. I had her taken to the shop before I set off on my journey to make sure she was in tip-top condition.
I really loved Sanxiantai (三仙台, pronounced san - shee - an - tie) island, which is just off the coast of Taitung county on Taiwan’s Southeast coast. It really is just barely off the coast -- instead of taking a ferry to get there, which is common for many small islands off of Taiwan, you just take a bridge to get to Sanxiantai! The bridge itself is famous, made of up eight arches.
