Transportation shapes daily life and how people interact with their city and each other. Logroño is small and walkable, with streets like Gran Vía where locals travel to shops, restaurants and parks!
In Logroño, there are many ways that people get around the city. Most people walk because the city is small and it does not take a very long time to reach places. Many places are close together, so it is common to see people walking to the grocery store, restaurants, parks, the mall or to visit friends. Some people also use bikes or electric scooters to get around. I have a bike here, but I mostly use it for exercise rather than transportation because I prefer biking in the mountains instead of on busy streets. Another popular option is the city bus. The buses in Logroño cost only one euro to ride. They are clean and always on time. Many people use the buses, especially older adults and young families with strollers. People do have cars here but only use them in specific situations. Most locals do not use their cars for daily activities in the city, but they often drive when they need to travel outside of Logroño to visit places farther away.
