Traditional Food in Czechia!

Introduction:

The Czech Republic is a country in Europe with their own unique traditions, cultures and foods. Every day, I learn more about how people live and what they eat here. One way I learn about a place is by trying new food because every country has special dishes. I want to tell you about a food I have tried called goulash!

What food did I try?:

I tried a food called goulash. Goulash is a warm, meaty soup. It is a famous dish in this country and people here eat goulash very often. Many families and restaurants make it. 

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I felt excited to try goulash for the first time. Since it is a warm dish, it is very cozy to eat on a cold winter's day! The meal tasted really good. The flavor was new to me, but it was so yummy! It was different from the food I usually eat at home. I was so proud of myself for trying something new. I think it is very exciting to order a dish that you have not tried before.

How is the food prepared?:

Goulash is made by slowly cooking meat in a thick soup. The soup is made from water or broth, onions and spices like paprika. The onions are cut up and cooked first to give the soup more flavor. Beef is the meat most often used in goulash. The meat cooks for a long time so it becomes very soft and tender.
