The cuts leave behind knobby "knuckles" that will grow new branches in the spring. I think the trees look funny with no leaves!
My friends and I took a bike ride on a path that follows the Ebro River, which passes through Logroño. There were lots of trees whose leaves were turning yellow. It was about 55 degrees Fahrenheit that day, the temperature of a beautiful fall day!
