La comida que conocí

All of the eggs sold in my town are from local hens, and all of the meat from local livestock. And their preparations are very representative of Colombia. For example many dishes are cooked in banana or corn leaves. In many restaurants, the bowls are made from local ceramics and you use a piece of a shell of a hard fruit called totumo as your spoon. To sweeten foods here they use panela which is a sugar made directly from cooking down sugar cane juice. In Colombia, I would say we eat very natural and very local.
