Traveler Bio

Hello everyone! I am Ryan Eberman. I am 25 years old and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I grew up going to public school in the big city and had classes with students from many different cultures. I remember one of my best friends, David. I went to his house and couldn't speak to his parents at all because they only spoke Spanish. Situations like this happened a lot to me as a child. I think it inspired me to want to learn more about different people, their cultures, and where they're from in the world.

I have been doing that here in Colombia, South America, for the past two years. Right now I teach English in a public school in the interior of the country that is high up in the mountains. I live over 8,000 feet above sea level! Here I have learned Spanish fluently, I have learned a lot about Colombias rich culture, and I have had some of the most impactful experiences of my life. This journey is only the start, and I'm excited to share it with you.
