Landscapes in Taiwan

Even if the earthquakes are small, they can be a major danger to people because they can dislodge boulders that kill people or start landslides. There were clear areas full of jumbled rocks and splintered trees along the mountain - evidence of recent landslides. 

How have people been adapting to this environment?:

People are adapting to this environment with technology. The Taiwanese government has been using some of the most modern equipment available to create and keep the mountain road open. Without the technology to build roads and drill tunnels into the mountain there would be no way for people to even visit, let alone live on the mountain.
