Ramadan: A Month of Fasting and Community

At the end of Ramadan, people celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a three-day festival with food and gatheringsEid al-Fitr means Festival of Breaking the Fast. During this time, people often greet each other by saying Ramadan Mubarak or Eid Mubarak,” which means “Blessed Ramadan” or “Blessed Eid.”

Ramadan is a religious tradition, which means it is something people do because it is part of their beliefs. It is a time to practice kindnesspatience and helping others. It brings families and communities together and helps them feel connected to what is important to them.
