From Seoul with a Smile: My Farewell

Picking up medicine at the pharmacy wasn't the same as picking up medicine in the U.S., either.

There were other small things that made life tricky, too, like not having a Korean phone number or a local bank account. That meant I couldn't order things online or make certain reservations. Sometimes I miss the simple things from back home, like hanging out with my friends or eating my favorite snacks.

And yes, there were days when I felt lonely. It's not always easy being far from the people you love. But even with all those challenges, I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I've grown so much, learned to be more independent, and made so many unforgettable memories.

Making New Friends from Around the World

One of the best parts of studying abroad is meeting people from all over the world. I've made friends from countries like Russia, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Singapore, China, and many more. I've also met other American students from different states, including New York, California, Minnesota, Arizona, and Montana. And, of course, I've made wonderful Korean friends too!

Talking with people from different backgrounds has helped me understand new cultures and ways of thinking. We've shared stories, laughed over our differences, and learned from each other. These friendships have helped me see just how big and beautiful the world really is.

Fun and Adventures in South Korea

Even with the tough days, I've had so many fun and exciting experiences here! Let me tell you about just a few of my favorite memories:
