Patrick's Journey to South Africa

Current Location

New York City NY

Hi, I'm Patrick! Come along with me as I explore South Africa as an archaeologist examining how humans lived during the Ice Age!

Logbooks

This week, I traveled around the Western Cape province to present at a science conference, visited two awesome caves and hiked in the big Knysna forest.

Journals

Visiting museums, like the American Museum of Natural History in New York, is an exciting way to explore the world without leaving New York City.

Field Notes

Elephants are one of the most iconic animals on the planet. African elephants can be found in a few places around South Africa. Going on a safari is an amazing opportunity to see them in the wild.

Albums

I'm part of the Mossel Bay Archaeology Project Lab in South Africa. Archaeologists come to this lab from around the world to study the Stone Age and learn about the ancient history of humans.
