Books, books and more books! Most of my reading lately has been for my university classes, especially Cultural Anthropology, which has become one of my favorite subjects. Cultural Anthropology is the study of people, cultures, traditions and how different communities live. What makes it so interesting is that I'm learning about these things in class and then walking outside into Prague, where I can observe cultural differences in everyday life.
I've also been reading lots of data for my internship with Cornell Cooperative Extension back in New York. I'm helping evaluate a youth development program, which means examining information, looking for patterns and trying to understand what the numbers tell us about the community. One thing I'm discovering is that numbers can tell part of a story, but understanding the people behind those numbers is just as important.
So, between studying cultures and examining data, I've been doing quite a bit of detective work lately, just without the magnifying glass!
What's your favorite subject? I'm going to guess Social Studies!
This week, Chef Unk has been grinding for those academic aura points! Between university classes, internship assignments and studying for midterms, I've been playing Homework Simulator: Expert Mode. The academic grind is real! I've been speedrunning assignments, dodging deadlines and trying not to lose 1,000 aura points every time I open another textbook. And with all the walking I've done exploring Prague, my step count is absolutely carrying the team. Am I cooked? Maybe.
