Whether I'm shopping, eating out or just exploring the city, I keep hearing American pop hits from the early 2000s through about 2015. Songs I remember hearing constantly years ago are suddenly everywhere again!
But there's a twist. A lot of these familiar songs have been turned into house music, with electronic beats and remixes that give them an entirely different sound. Sometimes I recognize the song immediately, while other times I have to listen carefully before realizing, "Wait, I know this song!" It's interesting to hear music I grew up with being played in a different country, sometimes with a completely different rhythm.
Here's a question for you: What's a song your parents listen to that you think is ancient history? Imagine visiting another country and hearing it everywhere!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

After a long week of studying and preparing for midterms, one of the best things I did was simply get out and wander around Prague. I hopped on a train, picked a random destination and once I arrived, turned off my GPS and started exploring. No itinerary, no tourist attractions to check off and no particular destination in mind. Just walking and seeing where the streets took me. It was refreshing to discover the more suburban side of Prague, away from the busy tourist areas. I stumbled across a few little hole-in-the-wall places to grab drinks and snacks, which is always one of my favorite parts of exploring somewhere new.

After spending so much time buried in textbooks, it felt great to put them down and experience the city firsthand. Sometimes, the best adventures aren't the ones you plan. They're the ones you stumble into!
