This week, I traveled approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) around Prague. With midterms approaching, I spent most of my time studying rather than exploring. Fortunately, my university is less than a mile from my apartment, so getting to class doesn't require much traveling!
I still managed to get out occasionally, explore some neighborhoods and enjoy a little time away from my textbooks. But here's where things get interesting! According to my Google Maps Timeline, I've traveled approximately 1,305 miles (2,100 kilometers) during September and October combined! That includes walking, public transportation, driving, cycling and flying. And those are just the distances my phone recorded!
One thing I've learned about studying abroad is that not every week is filled with grand adventures. Sometimes life in Prague is just like life back home: classes, studying, errands and trying to find a little time to enjoy yourself. But even during a quiet week, it's pretty amazing to look back and realize just how far I've come!
