The most fun activity this week was definitely seeing Berlin's Festival of Lights! The city of Berlin projects colorful moving images on some of the most historic buildings in the city, including the TV Tower, the Berlin Cathedral, the Brandenburg Gate and the Concert Hall.
This week, I read a lot of academic material and news stories about German politics. In my classes, we are learning about the architecture of Berlin, Berlin's history during WW2 and contemporary art in Berlin. I am writing articles about elections and housing in Germany, so I read many articles from German news sites.
I played cards with my friends when we were out to dinner.
I did lots of homework and planned my trip to Copenhagen in the evenings. I spent a lot of time with my friends and roommates. I also worked on my painting for my end-of-semester exhibition!
