As a result, you need something to make the time go by faster, so I started listening to music. This week I listened to Kid Quill, Arcángel, Forrest Frank and a couple of others. If you want a song to dance to, I recommend Beyoncé’s Irreplaceable, Norteno version.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun I had this week was visiting Antigua to celebrate my friend Daniel´s birthday. Antigua is a fantastic city in Guatemala filled with educational museums, intimidating markets and great food. I went out with my friend and a couple of other volunteers, and we got to try Mediterranean food and a pirate's favorite drink; we also danced until we couldn't dance anymore. Antigua is a great place to go, and if you ever end up visiting Guatemala, I highly recommend setting aside time for a trip to this nice little city.

What did I read this week?:

You’ve also caught me at a great time when it comes to reading. Truly, before I started listening to music, I listened to books, and at the start of this week, I finally finished one. It's called Everyone Who is Gone is Here by Jonathan Blitzer, and it is a fantastic book on the recent immigrant crisis in the United States and why so many people are deciding to leave their countries. I’m also starting to physically read more in preparation for a test in June, so I recently read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis and am starting a book on the history of numbers, which has already proved to be mindblowing. Did you know that the Latin word for pebble is calculus? Yeah, pebbles were one of the first tools used to do math and thus became the root of our current word calculation. Isn´t that wild! Oh man, reading can be so fun sometimes.
