It was very interesting to see what people were reading about at that time.
My favorite part was finding an advertisement for a show by Jorge Luis Borges, a famous Argentine writer that I study in school today. It was amazing to see something about him in a newspaper from when he was still alive!
I didn’t get a chance to play any games this week, but I usually go for a walk every evening. I like to flâner, which means to wander without a specific direction or map guiding me. I simply walk wherever looks interesting or somewhere new that I want to explore.
During one of my walks this week, I discovered a giant outdoor flea market. There were so many beautiful pieces of furniture and chandeliers. I wished I could fit them all in my suitcase! I also found a new ice cream shop that I wanted to try. I ordered a scoop of Dulce de Leche (sweet caramelized milk) flavored ice cream, which tastes similar to caramel. It was a fun surprise during my walk.
I am heading to Peru for spring break! I will be visiting Lima, the capital city, and Cusco, a town high in the Andes Mountains. Next Saturday, I will also be visiting Machu Picchu. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, so I am very excited to see it!
