I would go to a brunch place in the morning to get an acai bowl filled with dragonfruit, bananas, strawberries, and papayas, and for lunch and dinner, I would eat traditional food.
The most memorable music I listened to this week was Bruno Mars because our tour guide wanted to play us some music and he loves Bruno Mars! An amazing choice for a long car ride across the island.
The most fun activity this week was definitely snorkeling with manta rays. Unfortunately, I get really seasick, but I do think it was worth it. It felt like I was in a dream or even a movie with how close and beautiful they were! I also went horseback riding and surfing - a lot more outdoor adventures than I am used to but I am glad that I tried something new.
Unfortunately, I didn't read much this weekend aside from my lecture materials in preparations for exams. However, I did notice a connection from my literature class to my trip here in Bali. In class, I read a book called Letters Of A Javanese Princess, which describes the life of a particular woman in Indonesia. While it wasn't necessarily the same experience in Bali, the character's name is Kartini, and I saw a road named Kartini! Kartini was an actual woman and not fictional, and she made a huge impact for woman's rights in Indonesia.
