What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity this week was climbing to the top of a big hill at Humboldthain, a park originally designed in 1869. The hill is actually made of destroyed bunkers that were bombed during World War II. Berlin has all sorts of cool places that honors its complex history.

What did I read this week?:

I've been obsessed with Walden by Henry David Thoreau, a true story written in the 19th century about a man who escapes society by building his own cabin in the middle of the woods. He writes about complex issues like politics and religion. It's been really interesting reading about such a simple life in the middle of Europe's fifth largest city!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

We've been playing a lot of badminton inside since it's been so cold lately. When it's sunny out, we go to one of Berlin's many parks and toss around a football or play some soccer. When the warmer weather is more consistent, we plan on going paddleboarding on the Spree River, which is almost 250 miles long!
