Hey, everyone!
I know you're learning about bugs, and I really wanted to find the speckled wood—a beautiful brown butterfly here in Morocco—to show you. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I looked, I just couldn’t find one! In fact, I barely saw any animals at all—except for lots of cats! I think it's because it's been so rainy lately.
I kept my eyes glued to the concrete walls, hoping to spot a little creature, and just when I had lost all hope… I saw a snail!
Guess what? In Morocco, snails aren’t just little creatures on the walls—they’re also a popular street food! Get ready to learn something super cool!
Would YOU try snail soup?
Look at the top of your thumb; the snails are about that big! They're brown, and their shells are beige with brown stripes.
When I saw it at the little street restaurant I felt nervous! I've never eaten anything like that before and I was a little scared to try it. I know a lot of fancy restaurants serve snails (they call it escargot) and I've always wondered WHY! Honestly, though, it wasn't bad!
