There are delicious foods such as paella (rice with meat or vegetables) and patatas bravas (an elevated version of french fries). You will hear about this from me soon; I will be attending a patatas bravas festival in a few weeks. That’s right: three days dedicated just to the deliciousness of potatoes!
I live in a cute apartment near the lab I work at, which is at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Barcelona. The people I work with are very compassionate, smart, and patient. Biochemistry is not easy, and proteins can be hard to work with, making it necessary to have a great team of people around you. In my first few months, I will be creating proteins in the lab so that I have enough samples to work with for my experiments. A lab coat, gloves, notebook, and pen are always with me for safety and learning purposes!
