The weather felt very pleasant. Most days begin in the low seventies and reach the low eighties in the afternoon. The sun can feel quite hot in the afternoon, and a lot of people here will use an umbrella or lightweight, long clothing to block the sun from their skin.
While I am outside, I will often see a bird called the oriental magpie flying or hopping around. They are pretty big birds and easy to recognize. I usually see stray cats walking around here, too. I also saw a little lizard with a really long tail for the first time this week. I hear that sometimes people will find geckos in their house, but I have not yet!
