The weather this week was alright. It was sunny pretty much every morning, which was great because my clothes got to dry. However, in the afternoons, it became really sad out, filled with cloudy skies and sometimes pouring rain. The rain is great for crops, and the sun is absolutely killer in Guatemala, so sometimes it's nice to have a little shade from the clouds. Even though these things are good, I was also sick, and the rain did not help me with my mood.
There is a huge problem in Guatemala that needs serious investigation, especially by me. This problem is the absolutely wild number of stray dogs walking the streets. They are literally everywhere. People in Guatemala are pretty accustomed to these dogs and even have a cute little name for them: chuchos. If you are ever lucky enough to come to Guatemala, you will undoubtedly spot a wild chucho and instantly be tempted to pet it. Fair warning, though, not all chuchos are nice, and the majority of them are filled with fleas and carry diseases.
