The weather was really nice during the first half of this week. Wednesday was over 75 degrees and sunny, and it was the nicest day of weather I’ve seen since moving here. The rest of this week was cloudy. London is known to get a lot of rain, but luckily it did not rain this week. I hope the weather keeps getting nicer now that it’s spring!
This week I saw lots of squirrels, ducks, a few rats, and a fox. I also saw many dogs being walked on the streets!
The coolest thing I saw in nature was a family of rats scurrying around the bushes of a park. Urban environments like London are challenging for many wild animals to survive in, but rats have adapted to thrive in it. They especially benefit from food waste. I watched one of the rats run by with a little snack in its mouth!
