Hi friends! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of our journey together. It has been such a blast sharing my experiences in London and across the UK with you, and I’m grateful for a chance to reflect on this now.
One of my favorite ways to explore the area has been to visit museums, historic sites, and parks. Not long ago I walked through the Natural History Museum with my nephews who came to visit. They loved the giant Earth sculpture and the dinosaur displays. I recently visited the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew with the Fulbrighters. This beautiful garden is the largest UNESCO World Heritage site in London and is home to nearly 16,000 different plant species. I also recently visited the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, which was much smaller than the Kew gardens but still home to many cute animals and just as pretty! Next I plan to go to Richmond Park, which is one of eight Royal Parks and the largest park in London. Richmond Park was established as a deer park in the 1600s, and hundreds of deer that roam the park today can be traced back to the original herd!
Besides visiting these places, I’ve spent lots of my free time trying new food and playing rugby.
